Elly's Winter and Spring
Elly is now one. Boy has this year flown! She's walking and saying words like bye and her name. Tara and I can't believe how fast she is growing. We're also learning about having a child who's birthday is right around the holidays. We didn't plan Elly's birthday until the weekend before. We had a small party at Day Care for her and then had a small family party on New Year's day and then another grandparents only party on her birthday. Here are some pictures from those accasions!
There is no doubt that Elly likes cake. She was ready
for this healthy Apple Cake as soon as we opened the cake container!

Here's a picture of Elly's Play Room at Day Care. Mica is in the picture again, and that's Camille next to Elly. Dad snuck into this picture also. Mom did most of the picture taking today!
Elly took a break between parties with a little nap. The party and play at Day Care got her really tired. She snoozed for almost an hour and a half between the two events!
After hanging out and having dinner, Elly had some more cake. She decided
to start experimenting with sugar enriched hair gel. At first, she was
pretty uncomfortable, but...

But then it didn't feel that bad and it was starting to make her hair look pretty cool...

And after a while, it felt really good... And I got to eat the cake after I rubbed it in my hair!
I was looking almost as cool as Uncle Ryan, but hair like that takes lots of practice!
Here I'm saying goodbye to Grandpa and ready for the bath!!
