March 3-5, 2000 - Here are some shots of Elly in the beginning of her third month. Elly has really started to smile and be much more interactive over the past weeks. She's really staring at the pictures of the books we are reading her and babbling to her toys when she plays on her play mat. This is a wonderful ride!

Some Smiles

Hanging out with Mr. Frog - Thanks, Aunt Miki and Uncle Phil!

Life just doesn't get any better than this!

Hey, where did Dad go?

I crack myself up...

Getting Funky!

How big is Elly? SOOO Big!

Elly lifting her head off of her play mat! or doing push ups! (You decide)

(I don't even know where to start with this caption...

Put 'em up...

Dad and Elly reading The Giving Tree on our snow day - Thanks, Allison!

One Eyed Whassupppppp Elly!

Some more shots of Elly!

March 17, 2001 - Elly partied with her Uncles Ryan (left -- nice green hair!) and Andrew (right) on St. Patrick's Day. She pooped on her first outfit (left), so she had to change to her backup St. Patrick's Day outfit (right). Elly enjoyed sharing her heritage with her uncles! Thanks to Great Uncle Mike and Great Aunt Mary Pat for the Kiss Me, I'm Irish bib, and thanks to Sean Owens for the W&M outfit (sorry the logo was covered, but you understand, right, Sean?). Lastly, thanks to Uncle Sean and Aunt Erika for the Lil' Shamrock T-Shirt!
March 18, 2001 - Here, Elly is spending some time celebrating GG Ma's (Great Grandma Dolan) birthday the day after St. Patrick's Day! The top two pictures are of her Great Aunt and Uncle, Peggy and Rich, who hooked Elly up with that cute strawberry hat. The bottom picture is Elly playing with her Great Uncle Martin and 'Silly Spider'. What fun all of these relatives are - although Elly seems a bit suspicious in all of these pictures.
March 19, 2001 - We're out again - this time visiting Great Grammy Carlson. Great Uncle Phil and Great Aunt Maris also stopped by to make it a wonderful day! On the left, Elly is teaching Dad how to speak Italian (with her hands!). On the right, Dad was changing Elly when she got in a very social mood, so we played on her changing mat for a while!
Around March 25, 2001 - Another visit from adoring Uncle Sean and Aunt Erika. These two can't get enough of Elly nor Elly enough of them. Living 12 blocks away from them is a plus!

March 30, 2001 - One of the wonderful things that Elly had learned to do in the past few weeks is to grab on to things and hold them. In the picture on the left, she is grabbing on to her smiley face guy, and in the picture on the right, she's holding on to her dumb bell. We still have to be careful because she grabs on to things and pulls them toward her head, banging herself in the head with them! Thanks to cousins Tommy, Felicia, Jerry, John, and Christopher Callan for the great toys!

In addition to grabbing on to things, Elly can stand up while holding on to an adult's fingers. She's also cooing with different tones and sounds all the time. She smiles and laughs all the time, showing what Dad thinks is going to be an outgoing personality.

March 30, 2001 - Elly is playing with Quackie, her friendly Duck! Thanks Great Uncle Rich and Great Aunt Peggy!
March 31, 2001 - Elly really liked clicking the keys on the keyboard of our computer. We had to take these pictures, because Alex has pictures learning to type at his Dad's typewriter at about the same age!
